I can’t really see anything weird with this patch version. I have heard reports of stat changes being made in the game, but that appears to come from those who have a version pre-patched with a separate difficulty-related patch (the AI honestly is trash in this game so it wouldn’t matter anyway). Still, this is really nothing when it comes to actually playing the game. But some just feel a bit woolsey-like which is a matter of taste. Granted, a unit being named Satan does feel pretty off and I agree with the name changes for the demons because of that, and some got reversed later on so it’s not nearly as bad as I make it sound. With more of a focus on strategic maneuvering and tactical. However one nitpick that doesn’t really detract from the gameplay in the slightest, I don’t really care for some of the unit names. Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia takes away the economic micromanaging elements we might be used to and focuses more on the combat. Check it out, this is the Brigandine we should’ve gotten! This is a great translation and worth playing, especially with the care taken into even the voice acting which is a rarity for a PS1 translation.
